Shad ft. Skratch Bastid – Work (Dir: Justin Broadbent)

Classic 80s rap meets punk. I knew I wanted to write a song about 2 aspects of work: One, the way so many of our jobs are disconnected from a sense of meaning and purpose. And two, just the increasing scarcity and precariousness of work. And as soon as Bastid and I started building this track, I felt it was the right one for the topic—brash and heavy, with space for vulnerability and humour. Penned pre-pandemic but here we are!!
