The most useful reframe for a first listen: the song is not really about a person. It is about the moment when music, another human, and the middle of the night blur into the same thing.

The hook as a mission statement

The opening loop is almost pure phonetics. "I feel like peek at you / Or maybe megatron / Side by side / I feel like Mechatok." Mechatok is a real producer known for gleaming, hyper-pop-adjacent club tracks, and dropping his name (alongside the cartoon-villain rhyme of Megatron) reads as both an aesthetic thesis and a joke. The narrator is not describing love; he is describing a mood board. What he wants to feel like is a song.

The chanted "Uh huh, sing a song" that follows works the same way. It is not lyric so much as instruction, the track telling you what to do with it.

Killing the sunrise

The first proper verse is where the romance surfaces, and it is deliberately multilingual. "Let's kill the sunrise" sets the stakes: the enemy is morning. K-pop and its adjacent solo projects have spent years mining melancholy for prestige. 'singasong' goes the other direction. It is short, it is silly on purpose, and it treats a producer credit as an emotional cue. Whether it endures probably depends on whether listeners find the Mechatok chant charming or grating on the tenth play, but the song is honest about its ambitions: it wants to be the thing you put on when you are trying not to let a good night end.
